Waldenburg, Switzerland THOMMEN’s AC32 Digital Air Data Computers were chosen by Vector Aerospace of Langley, B.C., Canada, for the integration of the glass cockpit design for the Sikorsky S-61.  The system integrates Primary Flight Instruments, EICAS -Engine Instruments/Caution Advisory System and other Multifunction Display system functions such as moving maps, enhanced vision, TOPS - Terrain Obstacle Proximity System, and route information.

The Sagem Glass Display’s have been integrated into numerous retrofit rotary wing applications.  Integrated digital cockpits like the new S-61 aircraft also significantly lower maintenance and repair costs while improving reliability.

This unique installation is part of a modernization program launched by Frank Carson who is internationally recognized as a pioneer in the helicopter industry.
